Steward Your Story: Showing Up With Vision and Clarity
How many of us have tried to show up online looking like everyone else because that is what we see others doing? When we begin to show up not to look good but to actually help others, that is when things begin to shift.
The way we build our marketing strategies is not rooted in the metrics, they are a factor of the type of content. It is not rooted in what looks good. It is rooted in what the Lord is calling you to share so others can encounter Him through you. People will see your content before they ever engage with it. That does not mean you stop. It means you keep going because this is what the Lord is calling you to do.
The data does not drive what we do. It is a subfactor. The main factor is this. We are vessels on assignment. When we stop showing up we are out of alignment. When we do it for the approval of others we are out of alignment. When we make it about ourselves we are out of alignment.
Vision comes with provision, but in order to move on that provision we must be stewards. Stewardship starts when we understand what the Lord has placed in our hands, what He has called us to do, and where He is taking us. Your stewardship does not just affect you. It affects every person the Lord is sending you out to serve.
Once we take our eyes off the opinions of others and fix them on who we are called to reach, the focus shifts. It is no longer about engagement. It is about producing and releasing what the Lord has for you to do. Everything else becomes secondary.
Show Up Boldly
Understand the vision and where the Lord is calling you to show up. Step out confidently and boldly because He is the one who sent you. That means it is not in your own strength. It is because of Him and through Him.
Remember your why. Do not allow fear of what people think to stop you from showing up for those the Lord has called you to serve. Your focus is not on them. Your focus is on who He is sending you to reach.
5 Ways to Show Up With Vision and Clarity
1. Seek Him First — Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Before strategy, before content, before anything else, seek the Lord. When we seek Him we see where He wants us to go. The focus is not on what is around us but on Him first. He must be the first priority. Start by asking, Lord, how are you calling me to show up?
2. Ask God to Open Your Eyes — Ephesians 1:18 "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people." Ask the Lord to open the eyes of your heart so you can see clearly what He has called you to. Clarity does not come from strategy alone. It comes from Him revealing what He has already placed inside of you.
3. Know Who You Are Working For — Psalm 127:1 "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain." Understand who you are laboring for. Not for the approval of others but for God. Shift your focus to Him. Remove anything that pulls your attention away because once the distractions come in you are on a path the Lord never intended for you to be on.
4. Let His Word Light the Path — Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." When you are unsure of the next step, go back to the Word. His Word does not just inspire, it directs. Let it guide every decision, every piece of content, and every move you make in your business.
5. Shine Where He Sends You — Matthew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Understand why the Lord sends us out into the world. It is not about us. It is about where we shine. Go where He leads. Shine the light that is within you because of Him and for Him.
